This policy explains what personal information Van Massenhoven Cloud Services (“I”, “me”) collects through vmcloudservices.ca, why, and what your choices are. I am based in Canada and handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What I collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and the message you write.
- Email: if you email info@vmcloudservices.ca, I receive your email address and whatever you include.
- Server logs: like most websites, the server records your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, for security and troubleshooting.
This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and I do not sell your information.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
- To provide and support services you ask for.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Who else handles it
Your information passes through the providers that run this site: the web host and the email service that delivers messages to me. I do not share it with anyone else for their own purposes unless the law requires it.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers and your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.
Cookies
Visitors are not tracked with cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for signed-in administrators.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable business records, and for as long as I am providing services to you. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent to me using it. Email info@vmcloudservices.ca and I will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page.
